My car will be in a parade this weekend. We want to attach feathers to it but don't know how to do it so the paint isn't ruined. Boas would be too expensive. Could we use dabs of silly putty on it and stick a few feathers in each dab? How about rubber cement? Of course it's temporary, so I don't want to put anything on the paint that would mark it. The parade will last less than an hour, and it's not supposed to rain.

why don't you glue feathers to a clear tarp and attach that to your car? that way you won't ruin the paint.

Rubber cement, it just peels off when you are done.
