I recently re-installed Windows XP to fix a few bugs. I didn't do a clean install because I didn't want to lose all my files. On my previous install of XP, I had multiple user accounts set up for different members of my family. Two of the accounts (mine being one of them) were password protected. Now that I reinstalled windows, all the files and folders are still there but I can access mine of the folder for the other password protected account, and i need the files inside them. Is there anyway to get access to those folders?

I tried the unlocker tool, and I tried accessing it while logged in as administrator, but it still won't let me access it. I've even tried moving it from the command prompt. Every time I try to open it, it just says access denied.

Did you log on as administrator? If not, get to the log on screen and hit ctrl+alt+enter TWO times. Then put in administrator and whatever(if any) password. From there you can get in and set up whatever rights you need to...
