Maybe they're Lezbians who want you to think that they look hideous. So that you don't walk up to them and hit on them. More Lezbians have tatoos than good girls who want to get maried and be house wives. You know, the Tatooed biker Lezbian women types. But, tatoos supposedly release something toxic over time into a person.

People get tattoos for various reasons. They like the design, the design has special significance to them, to mark chakra points, boredom, even tribal/gang affiliation or prison signifier.
Most tattoos these days are fads, they want in on the new trend, they want the attention/notoriety of having had their body marked.
Tattoos are a statement no matter what or where they are, they define the person.
I will not say that all tattoos look good on all people, what I will say is beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What looks hideous to one might be downright bitchin' to someone else.

Attention...Although some say it's an artistic expression. I believe it's the "look at me syndrome."And yes most of them look hideous, but you look. How bout the 300lbers that get tattoos instead of going on a diet. No different then a tongue piercing or
eye piercing. And of coarse it's cool to get them. Just like wearing
Paris Hilton sun glasses.

It all depends on the tattoo.I have seen many full back exquisite art pieces on some girls worthy to be presented at any of the major galleries around the world,Asiatic styles,intricate Chinese dragons,beautiful birds of paradise,and of course the phoenix,even countryside scenes.You must remember that many people see the tattoo as an example of fine art,and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.Many of these girls have this "artwork" done for their own pleasure and they rarely show it off.

I am a female with 5 tattoos (i get one every year about) and i get them because i really love them and find them extremely sexy. Everyone finds different things attractive. There are plenty of people who dont think im "hideous". I also did not do it for attention, my tattoos are visible to the public maybe 10 times a year.

A lot of people get tattoos for good reasons, other than because they think they look cool. Different tattoos stand for different things, times in people's lives, people close to them, etc..
I think if you get it for a good reason, it's cool.

i agree i do not think that girls look right w/ tattoos...maybe cuz there is so much "equalizing" between men and women that some women feel they can get tatoos just like men..when in all actuality i think its gross

Every one has different tastes & opinions. I believe tats are a type of art if done right. I have 5. Not everyone shares your views. My fiance wants me to get another one. If you dont like tats dont get one.

I agree entirely. People should not be billboards to dubious taste. There seem to be a return to tribal signs and I think it's dangerous. We're not supposed to be primitives anymore.
