I forgot my password to log into my windows account and now I cannot log in. There are no other accounts on my computer. I am the only one. What should I do?

Boot up your computer, press F8 promptly.
Choose safe mode.
Choose Administrator on the welcome screen(or type in Administrator as the user for the prompt window).
Go to Control Panel>User Accounts then choose yourself and choose remove password.
Hope this works for you.

this is an easy one.

assuming your not a pro.

when you boot your computer you can press F8 to goto a boot menu, in there you can select safe mode and log in as an administrator. once logged on, you can edit your account and remove or change the password.

however if your a pro, you would most likly have a passwor don this or if you had someone else make the computer for you. if you got it from a shop or a company like PC world or Dell. this will work perfect.

good luck...

Well, that's one reason I don't like passwords and I don't use them.

You can get a third party software that will get it for you - Lots of techs have them - so you may need to get someone over there to retrieve it.

I keep a little .25 notebook (you know, the tiny ones) right next to my computer with all of my sites and passwords. I use it all the time.

You can use an emergency boot disk to erase your password. But you need to be fairly skilled with computers.
http://ebcd.pcministry.com/ I used that one before

Or you could buy software to do it. Google search for lost xp password.
