Ive had two miscarriages and a medical abortion because of an ectopic pregnancy (the embryo was growing outside of the uterus). Im now 35wks pregnant with a healthy boy. My doctor told me the chance of women continually miscarrying is small. But it does depend on each individual woman. If you want more information on your own uterus health why not seek a referral to an ob/gyn and ask them everything you want to know. Im sure they would give you all the information that you need..

Depend why you miscarried. I miscarried at 10 weeks and doctors put it down to stress. I already have a healthy 3 year old and have been told that i should have no problems in further pregnancies. But if there is a medical reason that you miscarry then obviously this may affect the next pregnancy. The statistics that they gave me when i miscarried where that a quarter of all pregnancies end in miscarriage but that most people dont even know they were ever pregnant and just think they are having a heavy period. Miscarriage is therefore very common and unlikely to affect you chances of a healthy pregnancy if doctors have found no medical reason for it. This quote is from the on line version of the booklet i received(website link given in sources)

Will this miscarriage affect my chances of having a baby in the future?

After one miscarriage, most women go on to have a normal pregnancy. Research shows that even if you have several miscarriages, you still have a good chance of having a baby.

Hope this helps and good luck for the future

As many as 30% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. Depending upon the conditions of the last miscarriage, the next pregnancy can go completely smoothly.

I've been pregnant 3 times now, this is the first one that has made it as far as it has (38 weeks) and there have been zero complications. The other 2 just weren't meant to be.

It really depends on the factors that were the cause of the miscarriage. However, about 30% of pregnancies end up as a miscarriage anyway, so keep trying and don't get discouraged! :)

Miscarriage can be recurring but depends on the reason and the person, sometimes its down to stress or poor diet, the best advice anyone can give you is to see your GP as they can tell you more information, that's what they're there for after all. Good luck!

Depends on what caused the miscarriage. My cousin had one and a year later she had a beautiful, healthy girl.

I don't think so... but thats based on my family not anything medical!

My grandmother had a miscarriage with her first and went on to have 6 healthy girls.

My Mum miscarried with her first and went on to have three healthy children.

My cousin had a miscarriage with her first and now has a baby boy.

I'm pregnant with my first - i tell you at first i freaked out (thinking of the above "pattern") but at 18wks 6 days i'm feeling much more secure.
