some guy posted an ad on http://www.caretotrade.com trying to do something similar. It's a cool free trading site.

sure, said him in interview the day handed by. What a hoot. He did commence with that purple paper clip and finally ends up with a house out west. very valuable. And it took him decrease than a three hundred and sixty 5 days to do it. awesome.

I think he used craigslist. However, he didn't just trade a paperclip for a house...he was trading up, and getting other things to trade with people so that he'd be able to trade for a house when it came to that.
