Well, it's basically a new system where the controller is motion sensitive. It can be used as a sword for the new Zelda, where it is swung through the air. Different games mean different motions of the controller.
The game that actually comes with it when you purchase the system is Wii Sports. It's like a game for beginners to get used to the new control system.
You can get on the Internet, but some features may not be working for a little while, as in a couple of weeks or next month.

Wii Sports comes with it if you buy it outside of japan. Red Steel and Twilight Princess (new zelda game) are already out.
