I am Thankful because my family was from the Republic of Korea--South Korea--and we were spared the horror of living under communist rule--look at North Korea today. 30,000 U.S. troops died so we could be free.

Well, our students are school are making and sending cards to them. I think that is a great gesture to show them respect, kindness and remembrance.

No differently than anywhere else. The distinction being that they went into this rather gung ho. That the country as a whole, wanted a war. That we in America are engaged in something, apart from this war, very evil, in full flarancy, right here in the U.S., will lie to the death about it, and the troops also know this. The real purpose of this particular military engagement. To get the people's minds off of it. Yet, the rest of the world is taking it in stride without resorting to trauma. An astounding distinction, don't you think? They aren't defending freedom. They know that too. I'm reticent to give in to emotional blackmail. I'm also reticent of playing psychological disingenousness over the bones of the dead, and the soon to be dead and maimed. Shouldn't you be? If not, why not? This is what I'm getting from your question.
