Yes it will however it will take longer for that to happened then it did with PS1.

I don't think so. Since 200 PS2 games can't even play on the PS3...plus games are still being released for PS2 and still will be so I think the PS2 still has many years left on it...and maybe even longer if the PS3 isn't fixed to play all PSone and PS2 games.

I think ps2 is a strong system... it still has a couple of years on it before the bar has been set to high above it for it not to be attractive anylonger
remember the graphics on a ps2 are still pretty good..
ps2 is closer to ps3 then ps1 is to ps2

Most likey. It's how the world is, always going on to the next best thing. Like when TV's came out, and now there's colored TV's, Digital, Widescreens, etc. Would you want to watch some black and white show? Most likey not, and that same goes with anyother thing.

All old games will still play, the unit will be cheaper than ever, obsolete, i think not, it rule for many more years (not on top though)
