Nextel has a really tough phone that can take lots of physical abuse, but I don't know if it is compatible with t-mobile. There are so many options depending on whether you will talk on it mostly or text message alot. US Cellular has a plan with "free call me minutes" which sounds like it could keep the cost down.

The most important thing is to get a durable phone....buy a case or clip to wear it on your waist. Get one that won't show scratches real bad. Boys are notorious for dropping their phones and breaking them. My son's last two phones looked like they had been dragged behind a car on a rope...and don't wash it in the washing machine or drop it in the sink! And watch those minutes, they really creep up on you!

Good luck and God bless!

I say 13 minimum age(in the event that they desire a telephone) except there is an quite specific situation. evaluate this does the newborn prefer the telephone or is it basically a standing merchandise all the toddlers at my college had a telephone while i exchange into 12 and that i wanted one so badly, besides the undeniable fact that it surpassed and that i did not elect one anymore. Get him a extreme-high quality looking tracphone (10-29 greenbacks gets you a turn telephone that gets 40 minutes each month the entire tracphone will fee approximately 50 greenbacks for a 300 and sixty 5 days of use, not which incorporates greater beneficial minutes. except he walks living house over 2 miles or has college activites that bypass away him on my own for a while, he would not want a telephone. Why does a twelve 300 and sixty 5 days old want a razr, that willl be out of vogue desirable away in any respect get him a affordable telephone that would not fee plenty to run (as I suggested TRACFONE) If the newborn needs the Razr, he will pay for the Razr AND the Plan. Why do you ought to pay 4 hundred+ a 300 and sixty 5 days to enable him have a funky telephone. Its a standing ingredient, not something to it, if he pushes it, think of roughly getting him one at sixteen

The t629 is sweet! (it's the slider phone).... Samsung and Nokia work really well on TMobile's network....

Although the Motorola v195 doesn't have a camera, it's a great quality phone.

I think the phone that will give you the most bang for your buck is the Samsung t509s..... It's got a camera, video, bluetooth, plus it looks sleek. it's ultra thin. It's only 49.99 after rebate.

If you really want a Sidekick, look on ebay. You can find a used one there that's in your price range.

Good luck! Make sure your parents put insurance on your phone! Since you're 14, you are going to lose your first one or be irresponsible and break it (or a friend will break it.... sorry if I sound bleek) so they don't have to pay out of the wazoo to get you a new one.

Well, considering your age and what you seem to be into for a cell phone, I would recommend the Motorola Razr V3. This cell phone starts at $199.99, but when you order online you only have to pay $49.99, and that is a steal. However, if you aren't into these types of ultra-thin phone(s), then here is another alternative: The Nokia 6103 -- unlike the Razr, you do not need a mail-in rebate and when you order online, then you get an instant discount of $120.00 off of the original price of $169.99, which brings the grand total to $49.99! check all th phones out at: http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/

From personal experience, I would suggest not getting a cell phone. You should save your hundred dollars or spend it other things that you may be interested in. Cell phones have the tendency to throw young people off track. I believe that you are an intellegant young person because you decided to ask this question. If you do decide to get a cell phone, I suggest getting a boost mobile. This is a very popular phone that alot of teens are getting. They have different types of phones you can choose from thats under one hundred dollars and the minutes are only 20 dollars.
