Why does my glass of ice water sweat? Does it have to do with water vapor in the air? It has always been something that has been interesting to me...
Be as specific as possible, I am good at understanding scientific concepts.

Water vapor in the air condense on the surface of the glass.

Water vapor has enough energy to be suspended in air, like clouds. If the water vapor cools down (loses energy) it turns from gas (vapor) to liquid (like when it rains).

"Does it have to do with water vapor in the air?"

Yes, it is the water vapor in the air condensing on the glass as a result of the temperature difference between the glass and the air surrounding it. Its the same principal as the bathroom mirror fogging up when the shower's on.

the glass is cold. Water vapor in the air condenses on the glass, therby producing "sweat".
