They could be wrong, or you could be wrong. The best person to resolve this is your doctor.

I think even with the quality of the tests nowadays they can be wrong. The reason I say that is because I took 18 ( i know excessive) and they all said negative. I had a blood test done because I was positive I was pregnant and it came back borderline. I was in shock. I didn't know that was possible but it is. Two days later I did another blood test and it came back positive. I am now 12 weeks pregnant with this baby and I know that just because the test says no doesn't mean it is right. I would try asking your doctor for a blood test. You get a borderline result if your hcg hormone falls between 10-20. Most hpt don't even measure until at least 25. Good luck

yes, they can be wrong, but its very very rare. They are 99.9%. No pregnancy test is 100% accurate. Some other factors may influence your pregnancy test, such as if your takening it while you are on your period. If your not taking the test wrong by mistake, it could also give a false result. I know this becouse 8 years ago my mom took one, but she did it wrong and it came up positive, when she was really negative. I recommend carfully reading and following the instructions on the lable, and If you are on your period, then I would take another one. Its very rare, but not impossible for both tests to come up negitive. Most of the time they are reliable. If you really think you are pregnet even if the test came up negative, then I would see your doctor. I hope this answer helped you.

they could be wrong if taken too early. they may not show up the pregnancy hormone yet. Depends on what brand you use. clearblue are the most accurate. If you feel you have alot of pregnancy symptoms, go to the doc and have a bllod test done. That will give you a definite result and you can start preparing if it is positive. It may just be PMS as symptoms of that can change from one month to another too and can be very similar at times to pregnancy symptoms. hormones play havoc. i hope you find out soon and get the result you want. Good luck.

Yes - they detect the pregnancy hormone. If there isn't enough of it yet, you'll got a negative. If you get a positive, then that can't be wrong. Try again tomorrow or the next day. If you had a feeling like period pain on the day you were due on but no blood, that's also a good sign. Best wishes

yes, many home pregnancy tests can be wrong. especially if you don't follow the directions exactly or if your on some types of med. & even any type of birth control. i am in the same perdicament. so i am just going to go get a blood test to know for sure.
when my mom had me her home tests were saying negitive & she had her period for the first 3 or 4 months.
i think you should make an app. to get blood work done. Good-Luck

Not likely. The tests that are out now are pretty accurate. One thing would be if you're trying to do the test too early. If you're "sure" you're pregnant, call your doctor and get a blood test. That's definitive.

They can definitely be wrong. If in doubt, go to the doctor and get a blood test or wait until an early morning urine to do the test.

Yes they can be wrong, you can get a false negative but not a false positive. Maybe visit your GP to see if he/she can help. Maybe you are testing too soon and the HCG hormone is too low. It might also be that you are not pregnant. Good Luck.

They can be wrong, and they also don't work until you've missed your period. If the tests say no,and you still think you are pregnant, go see a doctor.
