If you're still interested, let them know - call. Tell the interviewer that you felt really comfortable and felt you would be a good match for the company/position. Then ask her when they expect to make a decision.

Of course, don't stop interviewing with other companies just because you "think" this one will come through.

You should NOT call and ask what's going on. They will get back to you in their own time. Expect to wait at least one week, and it could be as much as a month.

DO send a short letter or email thanking them for the first interview. Put a little something in there expanding on some point from the interview. This will put you ahead of the competition.

Personally I would call and thank her for giving you the opportunity to have an interview and then follow up after that by asking if she had made a decision on hiring anyone yet and express your excitement about possibly working for her and that company, if she has not made a decision. This shows that you are not only still interested, but also committed. Hope this helps you.

Write the interviewer a thank you note and mail it to her. It shows a lot of class. It also reminds her that you are still interested in the position. But send it out ASAP.

Since I'm assuming you are in the U.S. and if you have not heard anything by next Monday (after Thanksgiving), I'd give them a call.

Whatever you do - DO NOT MAIL your "thank you" note. It may not get there in time. Drop it off at the front desk and make sure it is addressed to the appropriate person.

You need to grab the interviewers attention ASAP and mailing the letter will not do that.

Hi, wait for the call. But continue trying in other places. If you get more opportunities your negotiation scenario will be much better. It is always good to trust but that doesn't mean that you should be unprepared. So if you don't get that job... you are not loosing time on finding otherone. Good luck!
