With the new, offensive users and their horrible posts, do you think P&S is going downhill?

Yahoo is at its peak, but P&S could be improved, you gotta admit

It isn't so much that P&S is going downhill, it's that there are users that are abusing the system. For me, I'm not going anywhere, but if they are bent on abusing this site then I will be bent on following the options available to us to put a stop to it.
We can take action & though it's not something I normally like to do...I also know where the 'report abuse' buttons are located. We can only ignore so much & what others might seek to take away, we don't have to just give it to them.
There's much more good than bad here & this is still a great place to be.

Totally. But I think that we have to let the ignorant speak. Their ignorance could cause someone to make a brilliant rebuttal that will enlighten others or, at a minimum, allow us to see what is truly in people's minds and hearts. A challenge to our position on an issue either strengthens our commitment to our view point or may force us to consider another; both to the good.
Political correctness has cause a society that appears to be progressive but secrets its bigotry and intolerance. Even those who think they have a certain view point may find themselves enlightened to their latent bigotry by reading someone's patent bigotry.

I really hate some of the stupid and offensive questions people ask. Depending on the day, I'll just avoid this category and read questions elsewhere.

I do not know what rock they crawled from under but I for one am amazed they are allowed to post at all. I just added a question about asking everyone to give a hug to Joni B. but it has yet to appear but they let insults and hurtful questions get in...I do not get it? Thank you Fire.

Questions should be screened more to prevent some of these questions for ever being posted.

yes you are so right.i used to like this place untill today. P&S i s defentely going downhill. :-) the only users on here who are keeping me from leaving yahoo answers is you, and misery....

don't think in whole. just mainly the entertainment/music and polls/survey section. cuz there's some crazy stuff going on in the am i pregnant section. grosses me out sometimes, but i'm the fool for reading. i will probably never have a baby now. thanks.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I think us non-offensive users need to migrate someplace else :(
