You should be fine, Doctors can't just give you prescriptions if they haven't seen you. They will check your blood pressure and weight. Ask about side effects. No one is more terrified of doctors than me, and I just had back surgery. You will do fine.

At our office we call them nurse visits. All that happens is we take your blood pressure and weight and ask how things are going. Some pills will cause a weight gain, some women are at risk for blood clots, some women start getting break through bleeding. We want to make sure it's the right pill for them. You only need to have the pap test once a year, and some doctors don't even do it that often for a bunch of reasons (but don't hold your breath). It's not a big deal appointment.

If you've only just started taking it, he'll just want to check you've had no side or ill effects to it.
With some women its trial and error until they find the right pill for them, so it's probably just to ask you that everythings okay, dont worry.
Once he's satisfied you have the right pill for you, you'll just be able to ring up and order a repeat prescription after that.

The doctor will want to see if you are having any reactions, probably will check your blood pressure and ask you if you're feeling OK as the 'pill' does cause problems with some women.

the protocol is to see the DR. after so many months - some of it to check on you and be sure that your doing ok on that particular pill- some people experience odd effects- slow metabolism, low sex drive(i guess that's why it's called birth control-he he) etc... so.... as long as your doing fine , the DR. will give you a new script- perhaps you could tell the DR. that the visits are to close together and he/she may give you a longer script- don't hurt to ask!

.If your mature enough for sex . your mature enough to grow up and take Ur medicine , the doctor ain't going to hurt you none .hes there to help you . believe me him checking you. wont be as painful as squeezing 6-8 pounds out of that hole. and believe me you'll be at the doctors alot more then this once a year like 20 times a year with them checking out your crotch ...
so take ur pick once or..... every month , twice a month then weekly
if i was you id cut my losses and go now.
