Mom will only eat the babies if they are sick or if she is not ready to be a mom. Any animal will eat their young in either case. I bred hamsters for several years and I never had the mom eat her young.

You need to take the male out of the cage though. He may or may not eat the young... but the mom will fight with him either way. The babies should stay with mom until they are around 4weeks old. They're eyes should be open and fur coming in by about a week old. These times might be slightly off as I raised Teddy Bear hamsters, not dwarfs... I think dwarfs develop slightly slower. Still... I'm sure mom will be fine with them. If she's not... there isn't much you can do. They wont survive without her. Good luck.

There's nothing you can do. All you can hope is that she'll be a good mom. If you separate the babies from their mother they will all surely die. And as you stated before, sometimes even touching the babies will make the mom eat them.
It is true when they say that the mom only eats the sick ones, that's their nature (as sad as it may be). I've had hamsters all of my life so trust me, I know.

if you're keeping the male in with the female, take him out. Chances are she had babies and ate them due to being too young to have them in the first place and also stress from the male if was with her at the time, and there's a really good chance that the male ate them. If there are no babies then she would be ready to mate again right away, typical male.

Dont touch them , Leave them alone... in a quiet spot. (daddy not present.. PLEASE!) That's about all you can really do. I had a momma hamster who let me touch her babies... so the next litter I touched as well... but that time she stuffed every one of them in her cheeks till they suffocated.. it was a nightmare!
