none of the breakers are thrown? its possible you tripped a GFCI outlet. do any outlets in your house have a test/reset button? try that, otherwise, you probably fried some wires!

if it is not a breaker (a fuse) then you have a problem.
You definetly made a short curcit. Again check the MAIN fuses they are probably in near your power meter.
If that is not the problem than it is those splitting points that is all messed up and I sugest you get an electrician and probably a bunch of other guys to change the instalation on the whole wall.
If you are lucky only the end of the cable is burned if not then the whole wires need changing. AND you deffinetluy need a new socket to replace the "wattered" one.

I am very sure that some how you missed the circuit breakers. Check the outside circuit breakers then there might be some inside your home usually these are either in the kitchen or bathroom with the plug plates. Mine are red and black switches right with the plugs, yours could be just white. If it was the circuit breajers let us know.

While Davis t does not offer you a remedy for this problem, you may want to try to open the breaker box and flip the blown breaker and if you do not have breakers, find the fuse that has blown for that circuit.
attempt to shut off all the electrical on that line of receptacles.

Find the GCFI > Ground circuit fault interupter. It''s an outlet with the red button on it. Press it to reset and you should fix the problem.
