Zito would look great in a Yankee uniform.

Wang is going to be an Elite pitcher, ace type guy, if he isnt that already.

Zito, and thats a big IF they get him, then the yankees top two is VERY good

But after you get passed the first two, its pretty freegin scarey. Mussina and Johnson both fade towards the end of seasons now. And im not even sure if Carl Pavano really exists and isnt sum damn urban legend created by a room full of drunken small market MLB general managers LOL.

If they bring up Philip Hughes, their star pitching prospect and he is what everyone seems to think he is, then MAYBE they would have a threesome to build with in Zito, Wang, and Hughes.. but otherwise... my yankees starting staff looks awful thin.

but honestly, if any of you think the Yankees are "Going down in flames" then you need to pick up yer brain at the coat check. That will never happen..and its not because im a yankee fan, but The Yankees and Red sox, and Mets, THeses days, will ALWAYS be competitive..they may not win in playoffs or get to WS, but they will ALL win 90 plus games in regular season because they can afford to do things other teams cant, spend and waste money.

Very questionable. Other than Wang and Mussina, you don't know how the rotation is going to look to begin next season, and Mussina always makes at least one visit to the D.L. every year. Johnson may not be ready to begin next season because of his back surgery, and you have no idea how Pavano is going to do. I think the pitching will have Wang, Mussina, and possibly one free agent addition, then possibly any combination of Proctor, Jeff Karstens, or Darrell Rasner, until Phil Hughes is ready a month or two into the season. There are question marks, but I think getting rid of Wright will help, and also it will take a load off the bullpen.

I've heard they are interested in Gil Meche, but if you look at his stats, he's Jaret Wright all over again. Lilly would be a good addtion, I think he's become a better pitcher since he was traded four years ago.

Just get rid of Carl Pavano... for heaven's sake isn't the same guy that allowed McGwire is his 70th Homerun and was a top propect from the Boston Red Sox? Carl Pavano, was an average pitcher to say the least, now he is better serve as a joke... since I don't really see him up and serving the Yankees with any miracles... The Moose, he is getting up there in years, he still can be solid... let's hope he can at least win the games that make him lived up his nickname.... The Big Unit, he is best years are way behind him now.... That's all I got to say about him.... Wang, very nice suprize, however let's hope he doesn't ended up like Hideki Irabu and his curse.... And who ever they picked up from Free Agency, better known than Pavano... not to lie to the Yankees about injuries you got out of his own stupidity....

UGH. The Rangers only lost each and every of the honour I had for beating the Yankees only with the aid of fact of Greenberg's idiotic comments. This guy is the stupidest man or woman I ever meet. The Yankees might have various the worst followers ever owing to bandwagoners yet additionally they have the classicist followers and the superb and finished-hearted followers ever too. Lee's spouse being forced is a bad element and whoever those followers are, they seem to be a shame to the full fanbase yet Greenberg has no precise to place the full fanbase in a team and contact them "apathetic and violent". That became into the place he became into at fault. additionally, Greenberg made his team's fanbase looked all righteous and massive yet some are probably bandwagoners (no offense.) additionally, i think Rangers followers are not that righteous even thought they have some incredibly super followers and a brilliant fanbase standard.

1.Wang-solid all around, will win another 20 games next year
2. Mussina-aging but still solid
3.Johnson-old, will pitch some decent games but will also pitch some BAD ones
4.Pavano-99% chance well never see him pitch like last season
5. Maybe Proctor? - he has nice stuff but the transition to sp is hard

I think theyll pick up a big name (ie Zito or Schmitt) but overall I think they have the best starting pitching in the AL east

Mussina and and Wang will do well as for the rest it is still wide open. Johnson look like he's near the end of his career and are they going to get anything out of Pavano? I feel that unless they get a good quality number 3 pitcher than they will suffer the problem next year

Wang, Randy Johnson(If he doesn't retire), Mike Mussina, Carl Pavano, maybe Humberto Sanchez

Pretty dismal. No one on the market is very good. I think it's good for baseball that the Yanks will have a bad rotation next year. They're going down in flames . . .
