I've been having an arguement with my cousin about When Doves Cry by Prince. Is It a break-up song or a love song?
Here's some of the lyrics:
"Dig if you will this picture, You and I engaged in a kiss, the sweat of your body rolls on to my body, Can you my darling. Can you picture this?
Dream if you will a courtyard, with oceans of flowers that bloom, Animals strike curious poses, they feel the heat between me and you?
Chorus:
How can you just leave me standing, alone in this world so cold?
Maybe just I'm just too demanding, maybe I'm just like my father too bold.
Maybe I'm just like my mother, She's never satisfied
This is what it sounds like when doves cry"
