I primarily use Boudreaux's but others that I like are:

Weleda Diaper Care Cream
Baby Bee Diaper Ointment (Burt's Bees)
Mustela Dermo-Pediatrics Stelactiv Diaper Rash Cream
Canus Li'l Goat's Milk
California Baby Diaper Rash Cream

They range in price from $5.99-$9.99 so the prices are comparable to Boudreaux's.

Remember before you apply the Desitin (which works faster than anything I have ever tried) you need to wash the area with mild soap and water. Trust me this will get rid of the rash faster. And make sure his diaper stays super dry while he has a diaper rash. And if you can leave him without a diaper for a while. Maybe just leave the diaper open and have him laying down on it. That's if he's not moving too much. Hope this works. I remember how much my baby would cry.

A&D Ointment They use it in a lot of nursing homes. I used to work with the elderly and disabled and that is what most places swear by. I also used Desitin Cream on my girls, but A&D usually gets my vote. I also did in-home care for a lady that had MS and was basically paralyzed, she wore diapers during the day and at night and we use A&D for her. I figured if it works for her diaper rash, it would definately work for my baby's diaper rash. Good luck!

That's the best one - much less sting than Desetin. Burt's Bees also has a line of Baby Bee products which includes a diaper ointment. It's expensive, but if the Butt Paste irritates your baby's skin, it might be worth investigating. My friend swears by plain Vaseline, but I never tried it.

Some good "naked time" defintely helps! (that's for your baby, unless you have diaper rash :-)

breast milk or any diaper rash as long as it has zinc oxide and just put it on liberally and with every diaper change. Also let it air out for a half an hour or so a few times a day.

Few things that helped my baby:
1. Desitin
2. Clean the baby with water after she poops, pat dry and put olive or baby oil.
3. Never use wipes or atleast use sparingly. No wipes when there is a rash
4. Diaper free time - couple of hours every day

I remeber my pediatrician had told me to make a paste from cornstarch and vaseline and it helped.
But what i found to work best for me was staying away from baby wipes. I only used them if I was away from home. At home I would put him in the sink and rinse his butt out with tap water.
He never got diaper rashes after I cut the baby wipes out.

For my daughter I use this stuff called Vermonts Origianl Bag Balm.It is for the udders of milk cows but it has been the only thing that worked for my daughter and her diaper rash would get so bad it would bleed.

Kaopeptat(not sure how it is spelled) or any antacid. Dab on a cotton ball and directly put it on the rash let air dry then cover with petroleum jelly and cornstarch powder. My son had open sores and this helped him the best.
