OH YEAAAA!!! I would stand in line for almost anything. I like to be in the line with others like myself, excited about the same thing. . It's soooooo fun.

Sure have....back about 4 years ago I was first in line at a Best Buy at 3AM to pick up the desktop pc I'm using now. Saved myself about $500 off on the regular price.

no . . the only time I stood in line to shop was a couple of years ago on Black Friday . . my dad and I went to the 6am opening at Wal-Mart, but it's something that I will NEVER do again . . . people were pushing and shoving . . the store was so crowded . . it was a very unpleasant experience for me . . . and with the craze that's going on now with these PlayStation 3's . . I think these parents and whoever else should really be ashamed of themselves . . they're not even thinking of the example that they are setting for their children . . .

Standing in line to buy something first is a sucker's game. I can't think of anything that I need so bad that I have to grovel for it. Those companies who force their customers to do that are working a well orchestrated plan and the people who play along by sleeping in tents by the front door are major suckers.

My husband really wanted to get a PS3, and if he would've asked me to, yes, I would have stood in line to be the first to buy it. I was one of the "first" to have my car the year it came out and loved the attention from the stares. =)

No, but that is a symptom of our 'instant gratification' society.
People want to have the first one, just to show off.
The manufacturers perpetuate this to increase profits.
I usually wait until they start having sales on them, or find one at a pawn shop that some sucker bought for full price or more, then needed the money back.

No, my sisters and I did wake up once around 4:30 AM to get Backstreet Boys tickets... [We had hoped to be 1st]. This was about 5-6 years ago.

Hell No. Material things are not important enough to wait in line for hours. If I can't get it anytime I want, then it's not worth it.
