If the BNP were in power and had a majority in the commons it' s still not likely that Lords would let through most acts. However certain things do not need new laws and can be done through procedural methods.

1. UK out of Europe. This could be achieved by simply declaring our independence from the EU and refusal to contribute. To back it up imports from EU countries would carry a high tarrif and we could get what we can't produce ourselves from the commonwealth. We trade at a deficit with the EU and so our trade is more important to them than to us.
2. No multicultural diversity to be celebrated. Whilst it would be hard to ban the practice of religions other than Christianity it isn't hard at all to ban outward manifestations of them simply by invoking the blasphemy laws. All living in the UK will be forced to learn English and it may be that a ban on speaking any non-English tongue in a public place could be imposed. The Council for Racial Equality will certainly be discontinued, however this may well be a positive step as it seems to run by lunatics nowadays.
3. The end (by lethal force if necessary) of uncontrolled immigration, and encouragement of all Commonwealth settlers to return to their homelands under assisted packages. There are no plans for forced deportation of legal immigrants......yet.
4. The Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force to be brought back to strength and possibly conscripted national service.
5. A swifter and more severe criminal justice system using less paperwork and more police beat time. No probation, zero tolerance and some factions want to reinstate the death penalty although that will require the consent of Lords.

The BNP have been dismissed as a fringe party but recently popular support against the PC brigade has won them many minds. Whether these minds will vote for them is another matter. Don't dismiss the BNP as a one trick pony as they do have a serious and well-thought out political manifesto which may become more and more appealing as time goes on and the mainstream parties refuse to listen to the concerns of white people. Remember the bolsheviks started out as a fringe, so did the Nazi Party, the Labour Party and the trade unions. each got where they are (or were) by listening to the whispers of the "silent" majority when the governments of the day wouldn't.

Sorry Ellie but most towns are like that now, Pound shops etc.
I don't like the BNP, I don't mind Asians etc being here, cos to some of them this is home too. A lot of these people were born here & they ARE BRITISH! After all our Royal Family came from Germany! (with a Greek thown in!).But the point is, the EEC as it was, was a Trade Agreement between countries, now its the EU, NO BORDERS!
BUT there should be some restrictions to new migrants eg NO DOLE, Free housing etc.
A lot of Brits leave this country evey year to move to Spain etc.
Some of my family have moved abroard, but they din't go on the scrounge, cos they won't get Social Security in the countries they moved too. So why are we so soft?
In answer to the question, Britain would resort to a country of complete racial hatered. NOT ACCEPTABLE.
I have travelled the world in the last 25 years, and have found friendship where ever I have gone.
Those one brain celled bigots must NEVER get in Government.

Military and Police control worse by a lot more. The death penalty would be brought back and used with very few reprieves. The crimes against the state and government would be harshly dealt with. The protection of Trade Unions and the legal system would be for a favoured few.Health and Safety at work would be non existent but employers who would not pay big contributions to BNP would probably be severely dealt with should they have an accident.White Eurasians who did not rock the boat would rub along reasonably well, those who are mixed race or not essentially white could find life difficult.Non compliance with BNP doctrines would not be allowed in all probability.Provided the individual worked and complied without dissent the would get by reasonably well. This is really Tory ism in extreme,do as told or suffer. If you suffer, but do as told you will receive charity.
The better side would be not being dictated to by minorities demanding their rights.Workers would be better rewarded for work of importance to the country.Wheeler dealers and Accountants put in their place.

The problem is that they might just end up like most political parties and once they get into power all the promises would go out of the window.

I would like to see an end to unskilled large scale immigration and asylum seekers, more council homes being built, creation of jobs and encouragement to businesses to create jobs, improved funding of the NHS, improved standards in our schools (my fiance's 14 year old sister doesn't know what the Battle of Britain was or who King Arthur was meant to be!), better state pension packages and standard of care for the elderly and tougher measures on crime and anti social behaviour - I beleive these are all things the BNP have promised.

But whether they would do them or not I can't say. I've given up on politicians' promises. And if they spent more time closing down mosques and stuff than doing the above mentioned things to benefit the people of Britain then they'd be a big disappointment.

British National Party ?

There is no British nation till we have a WRITTEN constitution by the people and for the people. It's all theatre at Westminster. The capitalist powers control behind the scenes who comes in to the UK (for cheap exploitable labour) and then they fuel hatred against them when the jobs are over. It's called the 'race card'. And it never ends. Noticed that high numbers of Catholics are now here ? Poland, Lithuania etc ? Great - like fruit workers in California. When the jobs done the rhetoric turns against them.

British National Party ? It's a race riot in slow motion.

There is one race in this world. The human race.

Probably a better scenario would be the BNP in the position of strong opposition.
There has to be a brake on the careless immigration policies currently followed.
However if the BNP actually got in to power (unlikely) there could well be a strong reaction from certain parts of society, and from the rest of the world.
Like it or not we can not survive economically as an isolated country. Consider Cuba, North Korea. They have tried and are very poor.
On the other hand if they came in to power with a large majority, (extremely unlikely) then they would see this as a mandate to pursue their stated policies.

The difference would be minimal as 90% of government is administration and most is done by the civil service.
The difference would be in a different attitude to the current fashion of multiculturalism.
Immigration would be tighter controlled and more scrutinised.
To be a British citizen would be more defined and those not willing to embrace the culture would be deported to allow them to return to their own culture and not import it to the UK.
In fact it would be similar to what Australia and many other countries already practise.

I was having a nosey around the BNP website today and I was surprised at what I found. It seems the BNP lot are quite literally scared of losing the 'indigenous British' identity because of people of other cultures also being British. This in my opinion this is a knee jerk reaction that shows little understanding of the reality of Britain.

To answer your question, I think it would be a bad thing for Britain, they would close our doors to the world, and in the 21st century we cant afford this to happen, the world becoming the global village it is. They'd probably run a more authoritarian style of government where the state were king. Also, any changes they make would be made to make themselves 'feel better,' at the detriment of Great Britain.

The positives, if there are any are reserved for, surprise surprise, the BNP and all that associate with it.

I thought that's what the newspapers and mass media wants by stirring up the Muslim issue everyday. If a lot of people do vote BNP then the present govt, royal family, mass media as well as most people might have to run and hide. I for one am not going to let them do to me what nazi Germany did to the jews, i will definately pick up the gun.

the end of our great nation as we know it.If this country was ruled
by this scum we would all be thought of as racists,I for one would
leave ,The bnp have tried to tone down their obvious hatred of
minorities to appeal to a wider range of people. And they must
be loving this war on terror because they can stir up anti Muslim
propaganda.we the decent people of England should never be
taken in by the new look bnp, because under that suit, shirt and
tie still lies a swastika. And i am being honest,no good ever comes from real hate.
