Stripes or without stripes?

I am playing a witness role in mock trial so I have to dress professionally. I'm 5'5" and have an average body.

Black, no stripes. For a classic look.

Keep hair & make up simple to complete the look.

Actually, I would not suggest either for a *mock*or real trial. Black may be seen as *sexy*, gray as *morbid*. Have you thought about navy blue? It's very professional looking and not as morose as black or grey. Navy pinstriped skirt suit or even jacket. Just because you are pretending to be in court doesn't mean you have to dress for a funeral...seriously. Give navy a shot!

For professionals, the most professional and safe is a black suit with no embellishments. Some conservative workplaces you will not find anything other than a plain black suit on a woman.
