NO but kinda in the beginning the said they were going to run somewhere. I know that they died.

As you have recognized, they didn't get to run away together.
When they first plan to marry secretly and run away,. I don't believe a destination is mentioned. (Keep in mind the haste with which they meet, fall in love, and marry. That little detail about "where" could have easily escaped them, or Shakespeare didn't find it necessary to tell us where.)

One can assume they will have to leave Verona--their feuding families are too powerful. So it would be another, probably neighboring, city-state. (Remember the time period is late 1300s.)

When Romeo is banished, he goes to Mantua, but I don't believe Mantua is mentioned prior to his banishment.

"That book" by the way, is a five-act play. Perhaps you read it in some adapted form as a story, but Shakespeare wrote it as a play and most likely whichever text you read it from presented it as a play--at least, I hope your teacher did. It's fun to assign parts and read it aloud--much more fun than trying to read it silently on your own.
