Please disregard Protons, Neutrons, and Electrons. What is the fastest velocity in Miles Per Hour that man has accelerated an object to thus far. An object is considered to be something like a
bullet, a jet plane, a space ship, a satellite, a space probe, etc.

I am asking this question in light of the many questions on Yahoo Answers concerning possible time travel and the need to go faster than 186,000 miles / second. I don't think we are anywhere close to man made velocities in that range. Can you provide any specifics?

Voyager 1 is currently doing something like 17.4km/Sec. I think that this is the fastest man made object at the moment.

In February 2007, New Horizons will pass Jupiter and should achieve 21km/Sec.
