I know that they say "the best time to try to get pregnant are the days leading up to ovulation and the actual day of ovulation"

Can you get pregnant on other days as well.. not just on the day you ovulate? And how often does this happen?

You can get pregnant ANYTIME. Even on your period. I got my wife pregnant when she was on her period, and we had unprotected sex because we thought there was no possible way!
