Electronic Level Control is what that stands for. It is an air shock system in the rear of the car that adjusts the level of the car when a load is put in the trunk or passengers in the back seat. It has a little on board air compressor that pumps up the rear shocks. Something in that system may be causing the level ride compressor to continue to run after the engine has been turned off.

OK, you probably have an alternator that is leaking current back through the diode bridge rectifier. Try disconnecting the alternator in lieu of the 40 A fuse, and check for current draw. A new alternator should fix the problem.
