Well Norma---you're in luck--you have a dude here that actually lives in the absolute smack middle of the historically documented heart of tornado alley---Wichita Falls, Texas---North Texas --a mere 135 miles Northwest of Dallas and hit so many dang times there are actually monuments to the ones that did the most damage!!!
They can and do hit almost everywhere in the state-- but not with near the frequency and total devestation as here
I have had three of them run directly over me in my lifetime---the one on April 9th 1979 was the second largest ever to be recorded with winds in excess of 500 mph---displaced over 22,000 out of a population of just about 100,000 at the time---but-- you learn to live with it !!!

All of Texas is in Tornado Alley. Anywhere down here is subject to them, as long as the conditions are "right". That usually happens in the spring, and sometimes in the fall.

A tornado can happen pretty much anywhere in Texas, We recently had one on Crystal Beach in Galveston. Tornados are unpredictable and pop up almost anywhere.
