There are twin sisters that are 25 years old and they are addicted to heroine. They have been addicted since they were 16 and their mom said she knew that they were experimenting with marijuana and alcohol and didn't see a problem with it. Does this woman not know that marijuana is a gateway drug? I am sorry I am just venting. It makes me mad to know that parents don't take responsibility and do something about their children doing these things. If they were my kids then I would put them into a drug rehab the moment I knew they were smoking marijuana.

Your watching Dr. Phil yeah I agree that she should have seen something was going wrong add the stepfather that was moving out of their lives and the drinking and drugs plus vandalisim it was a cry for help. I think she should have sent them to counseling right there and then.

You'd be surprised how many people think marijuana is no big deal. I remember a guy who believed that possession of the stuff was no worse that doing five miles over the speed limit! Truth be told, however, marijuana is no laughing matter. It is, as you mentioned, a gateway drug. It also produces adversely altered states of consciousness, with many potential ill effects(such as impaired school/job performance). My thinking is that this mother you are talking about may be one of those types, and could very well be too stoned to give a rat's rip about her twins.

You have no idea what is going on in their lives. Stop being a gossiping yuppie. " If they were my kids" listen to yourself! Leave them alone and let them live their lives how every they wish and you may do the same. Oh, and "Does this woman not know that marijuana is a gateway drug?" weed helped me get off of the harder drugs.
