At my local mall the exchange rate was $1.00 USD = $10.44 Mexican Pesos.
At Bank of America $10.22 free shipping for exchanges over $1000.00 USD,
Wells Fargo $9.98 after shipping, and
Foreignmoney.com $9.82 after shipping.

Do you know of a website that offers a better exchange rate?.

You are right Mr. Sparks. I will get the wholesale exhange rate at the ATM but what about the transaction fees I will be charged by the ATM bank and my bank. I could be paying about $5.00 dollars or more everytime I make a withdrawal.

What the heck are you talking about ... money by email order?

Best rates are at ATM machines in Mexico

--------------------
You have to ask your bank what the international rate is. My credit union charges nothing. Other banks do charge up to $5 but it's usually not a percentage ... so take out the MAX. I have a 5000mx limit which is about $460us.

Also notify your bank you'll be in Mexico or they may shut down your card

Some ATM machines in Mexico will notify you that there will be a 7 peso charge to use the machine - thats another 60 cents. Banamex does not!

You can't avoid the 1% fee the charged by the Mexican banks
