No, a pet rtabbit will not get sick from a broken leg. Nor will it die if proper care is taken. If your pet has broken its leg you should get the help of a small animal vet.
A wild rabbit with a broken leg would have great difficulty escaping from predators or maybe in grazing.

The problem about them is that they get stressed easily and then die. If this doesnt kill them, then i would just watch it carefully the thing to watch for is something called anaflatic shock, this will be caused by the bone marrow leaking into the body cavity/blood stream of the rabbit....bone marrow is in the middle of bones by the way and produces antibodies. anyways if it is a compound fracture (that means the bone broke the skin, and it bled) then the chances of infection and anaflactic shock is greatly increased.) another problem is called a closed fracture where it is still compounded due to the fragile nature of the bones in a rabbits leg it is one of the most common fractures, this is when the bones seem to slip past eachother yet do not break the skin. one of the least common fractures and one that isnt all that deadly is just a hairline fracture, that is when the bone is just cracked, it is what happens when alot of people break there boes, or ankles or wrists. the above items where listed in order in which is most deadly. take in mind that a rabbit that is domestic is going to have a much greater chance of survival than a wild one, where the trama and stress will give the opertunisitc bacteria and virusis in the rabbit allready a chance to take hold. if it is a wild rabbit it will most assuredly die.

It depends. If it is not checked out by a vet and left untreated it will probably get infected. Also it would be very uncomfortable for the bunny. Take any rabbit with a medical issue immeadetly to a vet who is experienced with rabbits. NOT ALL VETS ARE EXPERIENCED WITH RABBITS (for a list of vets who know what they are doing with rabbits, look here: http://www.rabbit.org/vets/vets.html

If the rabbit's leg cannot be fixed, they can still live quite a happy life as an amputee. I've even heard of rabbits in wheelchairs! I myself have a bunny who was born with an orthopedic problem with her back leg. She cannot use it, but still hops around and chases my cat.

It could... or it could die from related internal injuries from the same trauma as the broken leg...

Even if it doesn't... the leg won't heal right without vet care... causing the rabbit to be crippled for life.

Please take it to a vet right away! Rabbits are very fragile creatures... there could be more wrong than just the obvious broken leg.

Take it to the vet....only the vet can be sure if the rabbit will be okay over time some breaks the rabbit needs to be put down because they will never heal right.....so take it to the vet and have it checked by them....

Infection is likely, and it's also very painful to limp around on a broken bone that's not healing properly.
