I'm not judging you or son, but I think you should let the Head conduct an investigation first. Are we seeing the bigger picture here? Could there be more to it? I.E Is your son doing his homework or struggling in any way? Does your son have any other peoblems such as relationship, friends, bullying, acne, football showers? Is your son frustrated with the teacher. Just gain as much information as possible first. Is your son definitely 100% giving you the full story. I hope everything ok would love to know the outcome of this one.

Find out what happened, was your son being extremely cheeky /naughty for the teacher and therefore do you think you would have punished him for it (not by pushing him to the wall, obviously), if he was let the head give the teacher a right b0ll0cking, but you do the same to your son.
If the pushing of your son was unprovoked ring the police.
Too many teenagers are getting away with murder these days, I know he's your son, but most kids can be little sh8s these days, and something needs to be done.

Ask what the hell he'd been doing to get the teacher so riled in the first place.
This country is the pits.
If I'd told my folks that when I was a kid I'd have got a belting for being badly behaved at school.
Is it no wonder this place is so full of YOBS?

There is no rule anywhere which says you can't have a school administrator and the police looking into things
