If you could hit a button to delete any part or aspect of the universe, what would it be? Your worst enemy? A commercial you don't like? All HIV virus genetic material? Spammers? Or are you a long-term thinker who would do something like remove all near-Earth asteroids? Excess CO2 in the atmosphere to stop global warming?

The rules are that once it is deleted, you can't change your mind and get it back like with the recycle bin.

I would delete human stupidity, leaving intelligence by default.

CDF-rom, you might be right. Erasing stupidity would remove at least 50% of the population.

I would delete superstitious thought, including belief in everything supernatural like ghosts, angels, souls, gods, afterlifes, etc. Such belief in things without proof (or which evidence actually points against) has caused uncountable suffering in this world through the perpetuation of stupid acts.

I think once people finally embrace rational thought and life in a naturalistic universe, then we can make quick progress on all the problems that currently plague us.

You forgot to specify your standard of stupidity, meaning that there may be nothing left-- by default. If you use yourself as the standard of intelligence, there may be some who would disagree with you. Even if you come to realize that you were mistaken, by your own rule, you can't change your mind, now. It's too late.

Congratulations! You've invented a novel form of suicide!

The absence of default laws, which if you remove, you actually gain default laws. This works wonders if you play it out right. Like the law of the repeating and most enjoyable universe,or the law of no memory in life. This way, everyone would be happy forever and never become bored.

social inequalities. there are far too many people suffering from poverty and hunger in the world because they are discriminated against by social institutions that they have no control over. by abolishing social inequalities, more people would suffer less and maybe the world would be a better place for everyone.

I'd rid the earth of hateful individuals; leaving peace-loving people who (honestly) support human equality.

It's good the way it is, thanks. But if anything should be deleted, that should be all the past in people's minds. Which is only in their minds, so it doesn't exist. Let man be new again.
