Actually, Kobe has only averaged over 6 assists one time. WIthout Shaq, his game has actually declined. Don't look at the 35+ a game last yr. Almost EVERY other category for Kobe has dropped, including his FG%. Remember the days of him being compared to MJ? Those went out the door after Shaq and ppl realized that he's really not that great of a post player, like Jordan was. Kobe has small hands, and less ball control in the post. Jordan, Wade, and LeBron all have massive hands. In a nutshell, Kobe went from a "Jordan like" player to basically a perimeter, and jump shooting 2 guard with the departure of Shaq... Also, his turnovers have sky-rocketed since the departure of Shaq.

Kobe is not putting up the same numbers this season as he did last season, for a couple of reasons. 1) He is still not 100% healthy from his knee surgery and 2) His teamates are better, and as a result, he doesn't have to do EVERYTHING anymore. I have no doubt though that we will continue to see him put up similiar numbers to last season, as this season progresses on. Kobe isn't one to just sit back and enjoy the ride. He's going to put all of his energy into each game, because that is the type of player he is.

Well, try giving him a break, I mean he just came back from arthroscopic surgery. But I am getting impatient and a little pissed off also. I miss seeing the Kobe who can dominate games and score relentlessly. Hopefully he gets it together, b/c he is sucking!!!!
