I would have to say System Shock 2 for the PC, I think you can get it as abandonware now.
But that was scarey being the only person alive on a spaceship, ghosts going through their last actions before they die, aliens coming from no where, running out of ammo with a huge monster running at you.
But the scariest thing about the game is the sound, it is so creepy and realistic, Play the game in the dark with surround sound for full effect and wear old pants.

I only ever got to play Resident Evil 2. It made me jump a couple of times. There is an older game called Veil of Darkness that was creepy. Also, the original Alone in the Dark was creepy for its time.

Silent Hill and (don't laugh at me) Myst. for some reason, i always get the weirdest eerie feeling when i'm playing Myst, especially when i'm alone. Resident Evil was too action-oriented for me and Fatal Frame became too tempting to make fun of because of the camera weapon

I remember when I was little it was Silent Hill and Clocktower! O.O Those games scared the **** out of me. Condemned also scares me. Those little crackheads pop out of no where! lol
