Conservative for the draft, or Nationalized service". No exemptions, no deferments. 18-42 men and women. Disabled, depending on the disability could serve in support roles.

Not sure why you feel the need to use inflammatory rhetoric when asking your question, but to answer your question, I think you're wrong in your assumption. Do you have reliable data that even supports what you are suggesting? I'm in a wheelchair due to Multiple Sclerosis, but I would go to Iraq if I wasn't disabled. I'm 36, college educated, and fairly wealthy.

As far as a draft goes, the US has an all volunteer military and is able to draw enough soldiers under the current system. This is a democracy, and I don't suspect a draft would be popular among any segment of society. Congressman Charlie Rangel (D-NY) introduced bill calling for a draft in 2004 and it was defeated 402-2. Rangel himself didn't even vote for his own bill. I believe John Murtha and Fortney Stark were the only yea votes.

Well, I certainly have never screamed in favor of the war but I have sent my oldest child, a daughter off to it. I also have a son in the Army who will continue and finish his training after high school, he's a senior and I'll probably be sending him off to it too. I don't want to. But they both choose to join and serve and do so proudly.

Why do you think that all Republicans don't want their kids over there or haven't enlisted? I'm sure that many Republicans would do that.
And GWB's not a king; just wait two more years and you'll see what I mean.

Apparently the majority of the families that have children fighting in Iraq are supportive of the White House's policy. However I can not attest as to how loud they voice their support.

As a parent, I would never want any of my children's lives at risk in any war - even if I supported it. Thank God there's no draft.

One of the more vocal supporters of the war is, of course John McCain and one of his sons has served in Iraq.

Perhaps your brush is a little broad.

Yea, why not draft them, as long as it takes EVERYONE, including the gays, women, rich and poor, black, white, yellow, green, blue, whatever. If they do it, just don't let rich daddy buy little Joey out of it.
I have spent 23 years active duty and would do it again, and I voted for Bush, and I would again. What's the alternative, another Clinton

My God, man.... What exactly is your movement you are trying to establish here? How many times are you going to ask the same insane question?

Why don't you get off the computer and become more informed. You just sit and spew out hatred. Its disgusting.
