You should turn yourself in so you can have closure, and not be worried and always looking over your shoulder. Maybe the courts will lower the warrant fine, or knock off some time, but its better to do it so your not arrested in front of friends and family.

If you turn yourself in, you may benefit by being offered a lower bond or a more attractive plea deal. Even if you don't make a deal, at sentencing time, the judge can take into account the fact that you turned youself in. If your sentence includes prison time, the warden and the parole board can take into account the fact that you turned yourself in when it comes time to set your release date.

By turning yourself in, you signify to the court that you wish to do the right thing. Get this issue settled. Most times, the court will look a bit more favorably on you.
