It's a start but he can't do it alone. They need pitching, not Wood or Prior.

Soriano is gonna help the Cubs a lot at the lead off spot and in the power department. Pierre was horrible at the beginning of the season and came on late. Plus he couldn't take a walk. Soriano strikes out a lot but he makes up for it. Cubs still need pitching though cause we can't get by with Sean Marshall or Juan Mateo or Wade Miller in the rotation.

Soriano is one of the best players in the game.....
The Cubs had a poor year last year but are getting players back...
So, therefore, Soriano will help alot unless he gets hurt like Nomar did a couple years ago...

I think he will help a lot, he is a player that can consistantly be a 40-40 man, be a solid number 3 or 5 bat, may not have the best defence, but lets face it with the year the Cubs had is there really any harm that he can do

He certainly will help, he is a solid player. If he threw a 99 mph fastball, he'd be a REAL help to the Cubs. But putting runs on the board always helps. He would help the team to the post season, but they won't get far without lots of help the pitching rotation.

He's a guy that will hit 40 homers and steal 40 bases a season. He a great player that we help the cubs out a lot.

This is going to be the year! I can taste it. He will be a huge contributor on the 2007 Cubs. We have got a powerful lineup this year. I am glad we are finally putting some money down for a decent team.

He may lead the Cubs to the playoffs. He was arguably the best FA on the market as one of the fastest and strongest in the league.

Soriano, in my opinion, is going to be the super-star for the Cuns for the next few years. He'll start to get worse later in his career, though.

A lot. Him and a healthy Derek Lee will give the Cubs 2 strong bats and they already had several ok fielders.

He should help a lot if they add more to the team, as well. They need pitching help, and maybe one more batter. Soriano will be the reincarnation of Sammy Sosa - a soft player who can hit a lot of homers, but still it won't be enough.
