They want to be treated fair and equal but not in family court and child custody where they want special treatment because they are women. I thought that according to them there is nothing a man can do and a woman cannot, so why is the reverse not true? Why am I discriminated against a so called equal rights group because I’m a man?
I have asked these types of questions before and no one has yet come up with any other reason except that since they bore the child they are entitled to special treatment and simultaneously down play my relationship with my child.
Our society tells us not to be a dead-beat-dad and pay for your kids child support and if you don’t (or more realistically, you can’t afford it) you will go to jail. However, when you say, ‘Hey I want half time with my kids. I’m not a dead-beat, I want my children’, these groups treat it as ‘hold on there buddy, when we said don’t be a dead-beat we just meant for you to pay your support like a good boy and see your children twice a month just so that you can think you are spending quality time with your kids’. Hypocrisy I tell you!

Gee buddy sorry your ex is being such a witch - please don't take it out on the rest of us. I firmly believe that not all women who give birth are decent mothers and I believe that in many cases the father can be the best choice for solo parent. I could go the other way since I am the daughter of a man who can be classified as a deadbeat dad - got his colege education and left the woman who married and supported him after she bore him 3 kids who were 4, 3 and 6 months. Dad NEVER paid any child support even tho there is a signed document stating his responsiblities. In fact my mom continued to help him financially for years (not support - just help when needed but she really couldn't afford it). She never bad mouthed my dad and he didn't bad mouth her. I however think he was a complete sh it for that but I still love my dad.

So back to my original point don't be beligerent in court and show her to be "right" about you. Be calm and always put your kid first. If you find there are any problems with the way the child's mother is treating the child or that she is squandering the money and not using any of it to feed and clothe the child then be diligent in keeping records and try again for custody down the road. As a child gets older its opinion is a factor in family court.

Again - sorry you got the s hit-ty end of the custody stick man.

Many, many women bleed their exes dry and spend every cent on new clothes and drinking parties and never one cent on food for the kid. It's a shame.

no longer something is greater sexist than a feminist. i think that the unique feminists, the suffagettes, have been trustworthy human beings. They have been struggling with for conventional vote casting rights at a time while neither men nor women human beings would desire to vote except they owned sources. however the circulation became later corrupted by utilising hate-filled human beings in NOW and in the ladies human beings's study circulation. (study a number of Erin Pizzey's books appropriate to the way the feminista operates. Erin became a being concerned and brave lady who became victimized and had dying threat directed against her and her kin for status as much as the feminista enthusiasts.) i'm an equalist, believing that
ladies and men all human beings is born diverse yet equivalent, are of equivalent well worth, and are deserving of straightforward therapy below only rules.
Equalism will consign feminism and masculism into the dustbins of historic past the place they belong.

Been there, dont that. The justice system is severly tilted towards the woman. I went through this, and even though I paid my child support she would sometimes withhold the kids when my visitation came. I complained to the AG office, and they told me they couldn't (wouldn't more truthfully) do anything to her. I asked what would happen if I stopped paying, they said they would file charges against me and have me arrested.......yeah that's fair!

Sounds as if you've been hurt. I think the authorities try to find a happy medium based on experience and history. Many men do abandon their wives and children and leave them without support, so the judgement often favors mothers. Children need a mother when they are young, not the father's current girlfriend. They need stability and someone who loves them and will be there for them.
You have to negotiate these things and anger is the worst obstacle to agreement.

Exactly! I don't do the feminist bit. Feminist want to be treated as equals with exceptions. There is no answer but that they are delusional and don't see it that way themselves. Some people get so radical about their beliefs that they don't see their own contradictions.
