You have much more reason to believe your family than to believe some boy who might just be telling you what he thinks you want to hear so he can get something he wants from you. Your family has your back. Move on and find a boy who doesn't say one thing to your face and another thing behind your back.

If you have enough people skills, you can have a nice discussion with him and tell him that you know he was not exactly telling the truth. If you are not comfortable facing him, just ignore the whole issue, remember, the TRUTH always comes out...one way or the other.
He intimated that your family was lying, and of course you are right to believe them before you believe anyone else, unless you KNOW your family are all liars too,...in which case, sit back and observe the FACTS for yourself, make your OWN decisions, and good luck!

Don't do anything at all. Ignore him altogether. If he really likes you, he will find the proper way to communicate with you. But, how do you know that your own family is not trying to confuse you as well. Could be 50 percent him, and 50 percent your family as well. Good luck to you.

Yes. Your parents will be around and support you long after this guy has become history. Do not cause unnecessary conflict with those you are living with especially over a guy who will be here today and who knows where tomorrow

If he said, I don't like you and it was a lie, say well, that's ok, I didn't like you anyways, and besides who would like you anyways? Oh yeah, no offence!! Then walk away like you have it all lol!!
