In my civics class today, we were given an assignment where we have to ask as many people as we can this question:

Do you believe crime is a serious problem in the US today?
and name your top three reasons to back your opinion up.

Mine is ...Yes, I do believe it is!
...First, every day, you hear a criminal murder case or something on the news every morning.
...Second, the United States has to use way too much money on expenses with cases.
...Third, cases that should be given attention..arent and those that are given attention..should be cared less about!

Do you believe crime is a serious problem in the US today?

- Yes There are to many deaths and wrongs happening today..People are getting robbed or killed for useless reasons.
- People aren't being punished enough. They get a life sentence to jail but it seems like they get out after 30!
- Peoples cases are just stupid! the serious cases are put aside for cases about people oweing someone else money for something stupid!

Yes. Number one, I watch the news every day, and every day, there are more shootings.

Number two, priorities are screwed up in the local government, as well as the national government.

Number three, the Bible, prayer, and discipline were taken out of the schools and homes, and replaced by the numbers to the CPS.

If that don't support my answer, I don't know what does!

Yes, I think it has because for one thing, there are more child predators than before, the crime for smoking has skyrocketed and people still do that, and someboby is always getting killed everyday or every other day or something like that.

2.) Domestic Violence/Child Abuse, and
3.) The same as your #3 reason! I am sooo with you on that; it is easier for law enforcement to focus on petty stuff, rather than the serious!

1) some crime is serious
2) media can broadcast more coverage of crimes making it seem there is more crime than ever before
3) it's human nature to be tempted, God will judge them, it's his way of fixing glitches in his plan.
