I mean- the haircuts, the clothes, the music - not original at all. They claim to be different and complicated, but wearing stupid clothes and having a bad haircut are not cool - especially when it is not even original when tons of people embrace it.

i dont know any kids that claim to be different or complicated by being emo. except one, but shes not really emo, shes just a loser trying to be emo.
i wouldnt go and call it a culture, the way youre think of it, its just a fashion. why wear long tshirts, and baggy pants, when tons of people in the rap "culture" embrace it? people like different things, thats why people dress differently. whats cool to you, wont be cool to everyone else, and vice versa.

You mean as opposed to.... "gangstas?" Suuuuuure... whatever. I'd pick emo over that sh*t any day. Face it. Hardly anything is original. If it's POPULAR, then it's most likely "unoriginal." Even in rock... there ARE unoriginal trends, too. And don't pass judgment on someone else's style. A lot of people like it, and then there're a lot of losers like you who just keep on hating.

apparently ur not emo so y do u hav to complain, some people choose to live a certain way, u shouldnt judge. i choose to stay out of the sun and wear all black and wear black eyeliner, it takes me more time to put on all my sunblock than it takes me to do anything else. r u going to complain that i like the gothic culture cuz its different than u? preps arent original, neither r goths, no one is so y pick on emos?

How is this different from any other genre or any other category of people? I think that's a weird thing to say because you probably dress like other people too and listen to other bands that other people listen to.
And no, I'm not emo. I also imagine that there are different kinds of emo (can't prove it) just like there are different kinds of punks (straightedge, oi!, skinheads) and goths (yep, different types of goths do exist! like punk goth, perky goth, romantic goth).

Eh...They're not the worst. Lots of people do those things, not just the "emos". Cut them some slack.
