I think bother are superb in graphics aspect, ps3 might have a little better graphics but for the average person with a normal tv it wont really matter
The blue ray thing well that doesnt matter to me because i dont have or will own for a while any sort of fancy tv. So I mean its a great feature and normal bluray dvd players cast alot but i woulndt be using it at all.
The only thing to me to base this off of is the games. Do you like Final Fantasy? then ps3 is your console, do you like Halo 3 then xbox is the console. I think it will boil down to which games are exclusive to which system, and that wil make people decide. I have a 360, I love it, I love dead rising, halo 3 when it will come out, gears of war, and forza when that comes out.
My only suggestion is to wait and try either, or just sit down and think it over, can you live without the other systems exclusive games. Im not a fan of MGS, and i love FF, but i can live without it, I have to have my halo :) oh and m beach volley ball ;-)

It all depends on what games you want to buy you have certain game titles on one that you cant get on the other and vice versa. i personally want the xbox 360 for halo 3 but ps3 has socom and other games that 360 does not so i base it on what im a fan of so i am going with the 360

Right now, the XBOX 360 is better because it has been out long enough that the hardware is stable, it is much cheaper, and has enough games to keep you happy for quite a while.

I think ps3 games aren't as good as xbox 360 games, plus it's cheaper.

Currently they are both nearly even. However once more games come out that realize the ps3's potential it will pull away.

technically the PS3 is more powerful then the XBOX360, so can perform better graphics and has blue-ray discs to hold more data = more content, holds more textures, bigger maps etc etc
but then again, PS3 is more expensive then XB360
