I'm a guy and don't cry. However, my Dad was extremely stoic and kind of passed that down to his kids, well some of us anyway. I go weak at the knees when a girl cries though. I find it very refreshing knowing she has that ability. Makes me fall for her that much faster. My wife doesn't cry that often (I don't give her reasons too) but when she does it's very endearing. However, I know girls who cry at the drop of a hat. That's just plain annoying!

To release ones emotions, at anytime, is Healthy. Under certain circumstances, you may be embarrassed, but you will be a healthier person then most, for in holding-in your emotions is very unhealthy and leads to stress at many levels and that can lead to years and years of therapy. I cry even at sad news flashes, this World is a Sad Sad place, and we are surrounded by tragedies after tragedies. Cry my little one, its healthy and normal, and such a relief.

NO DEFIANTLY NOT CRYING IS A HEALTHY EMOTION JUST LIKE ANY OTHER EMOTION THE PROBLEM IS WHEN WE WERE YOUNGER OUR PARENTS MOSTLY BOYS WERE TAUGHT NOT TO CRY BE A MAN DON'T BE A BABY!!! THAT IN RETURN CAUSES US TO HIDE OUR EMOTIONS AND THINK THAT CRYING IS A WEAK THING WHEN ACTUALLY CRYING IS A NORMAL HEALTHY EMOTION!!! NO I'M NOT SAYING THAT CRYING UNCONTROLLABLE DAY IN AND DAY OUT IS OK THAT'S DEPRESSION BUT IF YOU FELL A FEELING SHOW IT ITS HARD FOR ME ALSO BUT THE WORLD WOULD BE A LOT BETTER OFF IF PEOPLE OPENED UP MORE WITHOUT FEELING ASHAMED!!!!!!!!

whether it'd embarrasing or not is up to the individual, really. However, if you are crying for a good reason, i wouldn't be ashamed. Everyone crys, but some ppl's pride is too built up to do it in front of ppl. :)

I suppose it depends on what is the reason for your crying. I have cried in front of people. For many reasons. I suppose that it would also depend on weather or not you really care what people think the reason for your crying is.

Well, It's embarassing if I'm crying because someone hurt my feelings but not if it's a special moment or if someone passed away. Does that make sense?

It depends for me. Like if I hurt myself, I get embrassed. If something happened to someone I loved and cared for and it made me cry I would not be embrassed. I USED to date this guy who would always yell and call me names in public. That made me cry and embrassed. I think maybe it just depends on what's going on.
