my dad used to take the family camping on this small island off of Martha's Vineyard, up in Cape Cod...and it had noting but beaches, hills and grass....and of course water all around, we could run, scream, jump in the water anywhere on the island, take the small boat and row all around, we fished and dug for sea clams, and cooked them over an open fire, and when the sun went down it was TOTAL darkens, only the stars and the camp fire..it was so quiet, you would fall asleep with the sound of waves hitting the shore....I loved it...

the government made the island into a prison camp for rich kids...they live there and straighten themselves out instead of going into prison, and civilians can not go on the island any more...
I can still smell the sea water mixing with the clean air, I can still smell the grass up on the hill when the sun it it....and not much other smells except the camp fire...the sound of sea birds making noise when we throw fish for them to catch, and the sound of the wind, and the water hitting the rocks we about the only sounds.....nice and peaceful, sometimes another family would camp there too.. a lot of fun...

love it

good luck

Early memory, about 4 years old, would be my mom dressing me to go out and play in the snow. A later memory, about 10 years old, is playing in an abandoned barracks across the street sneaking in as the military posted keep out signs. It was fun to do something we thought dangerous. Which it was as the buildings were falling apart but we did not know that at the time. We would also hike through the woods to the back of the military base and climb the fence to get to the airplanes and have a pick neck in the shade under the wings. ◘

I remember hanging out with my 2 cousins, we would walk down the rr tracks & back through the woods. We would try to scare each other by saying OMG there's a bear or a mountain lion, then we would run. Whoever was the last one out had to go back & make sure it's ok for all of us to go back in!! I know it sounds crazy or stupid but this is my memory!
