I really like her show but sometimes she's so full of herself, it drives me crazy! What do you think?

I didn't ask if she was an inspiration to women, I asked if you thought she was conceited! Geez!

Yeah, I'd hardly call Tyra Banks "down to Earth". I understand she's worked really hard to get where she is, so she deserves everything she has, but let's be honest: There's times when she starts sounding a little more full of herself than she should be.
I like that she thinks she's some sort of powerful, hard-hitting, investigative journalist. She tries to turn her daytime talkshow into Dateline. The point is, she's a model with good ideas, but a journalist she is not. A lot of her "investigations" are shotty, and they're just so ridiculous.
The one where they uglied down on of the beautiful identical twins? 1) That is then insulting anyone who resembles her. Girls can have acne, or big noses, or braces, or big hair and still think they're pretty. Until they hear Tyra Banks on TV calling a girl ugly who looks like that, and seeing that their way of taking away her beauty is to put those things on her.
2) Did you SEE that fake nose?! It was pretty fake. Even with the makeup, it still didn't match her skintone.
3) They had the girls go apply at places that yeah, beauty matters. They had them apply at a skin spa- why would a skin spa hire a girl with bad skin? That's not really choosing looks as much as it's just intelligent marketing.
4) What about the personality factor?

The point is, Tyra Banks is not a journalist, but on her show, she's definitely a fan of pretending she is. But it's okay with me if she keeps pretending, I'll still watch.

I do have confidence so. Even on us of a of america's next suitable sort she could now and lower back yell on the females yet together with her talkshow she looks to appreciate each thing that steps into her direction.

I completely agree- I've only watched her show a few times (out of absolute boredom) and couldn't believe how she managed to turn every single question around to her own experiences. Talk shows are supposed to let the audience learn more about their guests, not the host! She certainly seems rather self-centered.

Comparisons to Oprah are really ridiculous- Oprah made her name as a talk show host, it's her main thing, and she has used it as a vehicle to help thousands if not millions of people in many ways. Even when Tyra tried to "expose" the horrors of homelessness she came across as completely condescending. Honestly, she even showed footage of herself getting makeup put on so she would look more authentic when she posed as a homeless woman. That's just ridiculous.

I admit I tune in to her America's Top Supermodel, but can't hang with it the entire hour. It's sooooooo hilarious when she's trying to be serious about the competition, giving her pearls of wisdom re the modeling world. And where she found some of her cohorts on that show, that black fella I'm tellin ya. Whew! And the elimination portion is the part where she really overacts.

I agree with you completely! She does seems conceited and fake because she always talk about herself and her experiences instead of her guests and it seems like she is acting than hosting a talk show. But I do catch her show from time to time.

NO CRAP! I mean, I like her show, and for the most part it's usually pretty good. BUT damn that girl is ALWAYS interrupting her guests trying to talk about herself! ALWAYS< ALWAYS< ALWAYS! Gets on my nerves sooooo much, not to mention that she seems pretty fake. But her show still has other good qualitiest, Thank goodness, or it would be a complete disaster.

She's right up there, or down there, with Oprah. They should do a show together and see what those ratings would be...
I say no thank you to both.
