How long would it take you to learn a new language if you really tried?

For me, i'd say 3 months

i speak a little of a lot of languages. and i would really like to learn french. but if i really tried i would say mabey 6 months

I lived in Italy and learned the language after 3 months.

Depends on how many I am learning at once. If only one, I 'd say 6 months til I was dreaming in the language. If I'm learning 2 difficult ones at once, it could take up to a year. I tried Greek and Hebrew at the same time and didn't find enough time to study either adequately.

For me maybe 1 year. It takes me a while to learn things, but 1 year for a new language.

I have tried. Really tried. Spanish. Yeah I know a few words and phrases. But without people who speak the language to talk to....Well for me, it seems like never. If i went to a Spanish speaking country.....in six months to a year, I'd be able to converse...slowly, but converse.

As an Adult it's going 2 take a very long time we have gotten used to vowel, accents, noun, pronouns, and our tongue actions has a lot 2 do with accents, and enoucation of words is the key. We are formed,Can you learn Yes but you need 2 put in the work. ANSWER Yes. work it's different for all of us.

3 Months wouldn't be long enough to internalize things. If you were living in the culture and taking intensive language classes I would say you could be passibly fluent by half-a-year.

Fluently: About 4 months

Then I'd leave.
