Is the name Brigadoon a good name to name somebody? What are some state or city names that are also names for people?

Yes its a good name! Yeah he or she might get teased as a kid but think about it... the name is so cool and litle kids just don't know that yet! And as a nick name he or she can be called Brig. Cheyenne is a good name and so is Antonio...

Brigadoon? Are you kidding? Horrible. A better place name is Cheyenne (for a girl ofcourse) or Dallas. I could think of a few more. Jackson, Denver, Madison.

I actually like the name Atlantis for a girl, but them I'm a sci-fi geek and love Stargate Atlantis (what the name makes me think of). If you're worried your child won't like it, why not use it as a middle name. She can go by Atlantis but if she doesn't like as she gets older she'll have a more traditional first name to fall back on. I like Emerson Atlantis myself. Either way, it's your baby so go with a name you like and chances are your child will like it too.

It's the name of a very well known 1954 film and 1966 American tv series. I don't think you could call anything that except a house and it would need to be otherwise eccentric already.

Name your kid something normal. Don't brand them with a stupid name that he will get teased for in school.

no please dont do that, you child will get a lot of harassment when he gets older. If you are stuck on that name, then give him it but give him a good nickname like brig or something totally random.
