I'm afrad that his career was flagging well before his scandals. I think that his name came outta the blue with his Bev. Hills disaster. We hadn't really heard from him in awhile anyway. The additional stuff since then only compounds the possibilty that people will & have lost interest. His music was always a bit too "Pop" for me but his talent can't be denied. No, it hasn't eclipsed his talent, only his reputation, but I'm not sure if we'll know too much about his talent anytime soon.

I think certain media outlets may WANT that to happen but the man is talented. Being from US, I don't know much about that Mutya chick but his duets with Aretha, Whitney, Elton-- I hope good strong music like that would return

I like his music, I do not like him as a person as I do not know him therefore his ways can't have eclipsed his talent in my opinion.

I don't think so. I think he's one of the most important songwriters this country has ever produced (well, I suppose Cyprus produced him really, but Bushey brought him up). He's a twisted genius I reckon. He just has a rather peculiar interpretation of British drug laws and the Highway Code! It doesn't stop Faith being a work of beauty!

Actually, if you line up these 3 albums in your CD player, and hit shuffle, I think you could get past the freakiness:

1. WHAM! UK - FANTASTIC
2. GREATEST HITS - FAST
3. GREATEST HITS - SLOW

Or, if you'd rather have #1 MAKE IT BIG, #2 FAITH and #3 LISTEN WITHOUT PREJUDICE, that would work, too.

His last album had a couple goodies on it, but was overall pretty depressing.

What musical talent?

He has been a has been for years. All his songs sound the same and make you want to slit your wrists. He was only good when he was part of Wham.

i think that his personal life has definitely eclipsed his music career but i think to say he has talent is stretching it.

Every time I hear his song and want to sing, I change the station. I'm so turned off to his music!
