A man is a gentleman when he respects a woman simply for being one. Chivalry is a sign of a gentleman, but not always a guarantee. For example a man can open doors all day and pay for everything. At the end of the evening if he wants to take her inside and do her, he isn't a gentleman.

A gentleman treats his lady like she is the only person that matters. He opens doors, holds her hand, walks nearer the traffic, compliments her, says nice things about her when she is not around, pays when they go out, old fashioned chivalry and manners makes a man a gentleman.

Thinking of others before themselves, giving, being able to admit when they are wrong, able to give a compliment and make their lady feel like she is the only woman in the world, being satisfied with what he has and not comparing his woman to others. All these things make a true gentleman. It's not just opening doors and pulling out chairs. Those things are nice but it doesn't take a lot of emotion to do them. There is nothing like being lead into a room with your mans hand on the small of your back or him taking your face into his hands and looking into your eyes like you are all he has ever wanted or needed. It's more of the emotion that goes into the physical.

WOW!! Gentleman? My kind of man... traditional male. Opening doors, putting out the chair, getting up when you stand, lets you go first, attentive... but the things is you have to mean it. A true Gentleman puts her needs before his naturally/ from the heart. Not only to impress, but because he feels it! Gotta love these men!

Well you got to like thier additude first. You cant expect them to be what you want. You got to find what you want.
What makes a guy a gentleman, well that depends on your taste. My taste is funny, full of energy, and ummm.....not really a ROMANTIC type! if i HAD to go on a date, i would go to a theam park, not a fancy 5 star dinner!

Not Perverted, Not self centered. Is polite and has good manners no matter where he is. When going out with a girl he'll hold the door for her. And He's just very nice and respectful to everyone...and doesent go out looking for trouble.
